WAEC Examination Postponed -Before now, student will be warming up to seat for the waec examination. But its quite unfortunate to learn the fact that things have taken another turn considering the illness that has befall the whole world (COVID -19).

Its a pleausre we make it known to you all that the education sector has become the latest sector to concor to the recent disease ravaging Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Due to what is on ground, it has forced the postponement Of WAEC Examination of its 68th Annual Council Meeting (ACM), Which is said to be scheduled on March 23 to 27 in Monrovia, Liberia.

In a press conference, WAEC Registrar, Mr. Pateh Bah, Made know to all concerning the postponement on Monday

He Said:  “Under the current unfortunate circumstances, the International Administrative and Finance Committee, at its 176th (Special) Meeting held in Accra on Thursday, March 12, 2020, had to make a difficult decision to suspend the 68th Annual Council Meeting until the global health situation improves.”

Know it that this statement quoted WAEC Nigeria’s Head of National Office, Mr. Patrick Areghan, which said that the examination was scheduled to begin April 6, 2020, but was now postponed due to the issue of coronavirus pandemic.

It interest us to let you know that Areghan made it known to all that the Waec timetable for the examination would be reviewed due to the coronavirus pandemic disease. In a statement, he said” “This is as a result of the impact of the novel and deadly Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and the serious implications it has for the conduct of the WASSCE for school candidates, 2020, coupled with the anxieties it has generated among the populace.

“This decision is a demonstration of the organization’s concern and support for the various protocols being put in place by the Federal and State Governments of Nigeria and the governments of the other member countries to check the spread of the disease.”

Important News! WAEC is now  68 years old today.
